Hi, I'm Tim McGregor. Top 3 Choices started as a personal notes project after too many expensive mistakes buying products that looked great online but were frustrating in real life.

Why I built this site

I kept seeing the same pattern: most roundups repeated manufacturer features, but very few explained what ownership feels like after week two or month three. So I started writing comparisons that answer practical questions first, like noise in a bedroom, running cost over time, and whether something is actually suited to a small flat.

My experience and process

For years I have helped friends, family, and clients shortlist home and lifestyle products. My process is simple: compare measurable differences, stress-test use-case fit, and call out trade-offs clearly. If a product is only good for a narrow scenario, I say that. If a cheaper option is genuinely better value for most people, that becomes the pick.
